A Journey Through Loss, Healing, and Finding Peace.
In 2018, I lost my mum — my anchor, my other half, my biggest supporter. For many years, as a single mother, she was right beside me, helping me carry the weight of life. When she passed, I couldn’t imagine how I would go on without her.
She was deeply spiritual, with a beautiful belief in life beyond this one. Because of that, she was never afraid of leaving this world. I, on the other hand, wasn’t ready to let her go. But it was her wish, and I honored it. Surrounded by her closest family, her passing became a beautiful and peaceful ending, filled with love.
Afterward, I began reading her collection of books, and slowly they opened my heart and shifted my perspective. Through her words and wisdom — and through the words of others she left behind — I began to grow stronger. I discovered a deeper connection with myself, and I started to see the world differently.
Now, I see that every person I meet has something to teach me. Every day holds a lesson. And in each situation, I have a choice: to see things with a positive attitude, or a negative one. Choosing positivity makes life lighter, softer, and easier to carry.
Today, one of my greatest sources of peace is the forest. I spend hours walking beneath the trees, breathing in the stillness, and letting nature soothe me. I often meditate there — it feels like the earth itself is holding me, grounding me, healing me.
The books I’ve read along this journey have given me so much wisdom and comfort. If you are going through grief, or if you simply wish to do the healing work from within, I can only say: it is worth it. Every page, every quiet walk, every breath of healing you allow yourself — it all brings you closer to peace.
